Hand-picked News
Google dropped Nano Banana 2 and it's replacing Pro across Gemini, Search, and Lens starting today.
4K resolution at Flash speed. No more choosing between quality and waiting. The model now handles up to five consistent characters and 14 objects without losing detail across iterations.
Text actually renders now. Clean, legible text in multiple languages. You can generate marketing mockups, localized greeting cards, or infographics that don't look like AI garbage.
Real-time web search built in. The model pulls live data for accurate visualizations and current events. It knows what's happening today, not just what was in its training data.
Nano Banana went viral in August 2025. Pro dropped in November with studio-quality control. Now Google's compressing the product line into one speed tier that does it all.
âś… Why it matters: Google is making Pro subscribers wonder why they're paying extra. Unless you need "maximum factual accuracy" for specialized work, the free tier just got a massive upgrade.
👀 Try it now: Open Gemini and generate something with text—a poster, an ad, whatever. The speed difference from Pro is wild, and the quality barely dropped.
Figma integrated OpenAI's Codex so designers and developers can work in the same flow without endless back-and-forth.
Jump between design and code freely. Start in Figma, move to Codex, make changes in either. No more file exports or screenshot markups.
Figma did this same thing with Claude Code 8 days ago. They're clearly not picking sides in the AI coding war.
Codex already has 1 million weekly users. OpenAI's been pushing it hard with new models and a Mac app that got downloaded a million times in week one.
Figma uses something called MCP (Mobile Context Protocol) to let AI tools read and edit design files. They're opening the door to multiple AI partners instead of picking one.
âś… Why it matters: Design handoffs have always been a mess. If AI can actually translate design into working code, that saves hours of miscommunication.
đź‘€ Try this: If you use Codex, connect Figma and see how well it understands your designs. That'll tell you if this is actually useful or just marketing.
Instagram is launching alerts to parents when their teen repeatedly searches for suicide or self-harm content.
The timing is suspicious. This launches the same week Instagram's head got grilled in court over delayed safety features.
Parents get notified via email, text, or WhatsApp if their teen searches multiple times in a short period.
AI conversations are next. Instagram plans to extend alerts to teens trying to discuss self-harm with the app's AI.
Meta's currently defending multiple lawsuits claiming their platforms harm teens. Internal studies showed kids struggling with stress become more addicted to social media, and parental supervision tools don't actually help much.
⚠️ Why this matters: This feature should've existed years ago. It's launching now because Meta's getting destroyed in court.
If you're a parent: Turn on Instagram's parental supervision now. Go to Settings > Supervision.

Meet America’s Newest $1B Unicorn
A US startup just hit a $1 billion private valuation, joining billion-dollar private companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, and ByteDance. Unlike those other unicorns, you can invest.
Over 40,000 people already have. So have industry giants like General Motors and POSCO.
Why all the interest? EnergyX’s patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods. That's a big deal, as demand for lithium is expected to 5X current production levels by 2040. Today, they’re moving toward commercial production, tapping into 100,000+ acres of lithium deposits in Chile, a potential $1.1B annual revenue opportunity at projected market prices.
Right now, you can invest at this pivotal growth stage for $11/share. But only through February 26. Become an early-stage EnergyX shareholder before the deadline.

Previous Poll:
Are AI chatbots safe for teen mental health?
A) Yes – Better than nothing – 37%
B) No – Too risky – 63% 🏆
The verdict: The trust isn't there yet. When it comes to teen mental health, most of you would rather see real humans stepping in than algorithms guessing their way through a crisis. Can't blame you — there's no undo button when AI gets it wrong.
