ChatGPT’s desktop app got so crowded that OpenAI is tearing down a wall inside it.

  • OpenAI emailed users that the Chat and Work tabs inside ChatGPT are becoming one space. The pitch: start with a loose idea, pull in your files and plugins, then let ChatGPT carry the task to the finish while you steer. Codex keeps its own separate home in the app.

  • The bigger change is about usage. ChatGPT and Codex will now draw from a single shared token allowance. OpenAI says most people won’t feel it, but heavy users on pricier models may hit resets more often. A long Codex session could now cut into your chat time.

  • A small group of users gets the merged version first for feedback before a wide rollout. Anthropic already folded Claude’s chat and Cowork into a single screen back in September, so OpenAI is catching up here.

If your coding agent and your chatbot drink from the same tank, which one do you let run dry?

This week, check how much of your plan goes to Codex versus chat, and move routine coding jobs to a cheaper model before the shared pool starts cutting into your daytime work.

Anthropic just opened its books to Wall Street, and the numbers are huge in both directions.

  • An amended filing on Monday showed quarterly revenue up more than 1,100 percent ahead of a listing later this month. Third-quarter revenue hit $17 billion versus $1.4 billion a year earlier. Net loss for the quarter came to $23.3 billion, mostly from non-cash charges tied to its rising valuation.

  • The real number to stare at is the spending. Anthropic has committed roughly $895 billion, mostly on compute, much of it over the next five years. It slipped back to an operating loss of $567 million one quarter after posting its first operating profit. Growth has to outrun that bill, every quarter.

  • The company plans to list on Nasdaq as “ANT,” likely during Thanksgiving week, ahead of rival OpenAI. It hopes to raise $100 billion, which would top SpaceX’s June debut. Public buyers get shares without much power. The co-founders keep 50.1 percent of voting control through one special share.

Revenue so far this year sits near $33 billion. The compute commitments are about 27 times that.

If Claude sits at the core of your product, build a fallback to a second model provider this week, because a company answering to quarterly earnings will eventually reprice what you depend on.

Sam Altman flew to Abu Dhabi with a fundraise to close and left with four signed contracts.

  • With the crown prince watching, OpenAI signed four agreements with Abu Dhabi entities on Monday. ADNOC becomes the first energy company to deploy OpenAI’s frontier tech, running GPT models on inference hardware inside the UAE. Mubadala will use OpenAI’s models for investment analysis. A separate five-year pact with G42’s Inception42 covers wider adoption across the country.

  • Follow the money. OpenAI is chasing a $20 billion round, and UAE investors are expected to co-lead it. Inception42 sits in three of the four deals, which makes G42 the local gatekeeper for nearly everything OpenAI does in the emirate.

  • The weirdest piece is the government one. Abu Dhabi is converting policies and regulations into a format AI can read, so routine permit and certificate checks can run through models. The first pilot targets food imports. The stated goal is the world’s first AI-native government.

Sovereign AI now means renting the model and keeping the servers at home.

If you sell AI tools to governments or large enterprises outside the US, add an in-country hosting option to your roadmap this week, because buyers in the Gulf now expect it by default.

A CRM so smart, it updates itself.

HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.

Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.

This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.

DeepSeek just introduced its Super Agent to challenge OpenAI and Anthropic. Do you think this is a serious threat to their AI coding tools?

  • A: 🚀 DeepSeek is catching up! – 72% 🏆

  • B: 🤔 Still has a long way - 28%

Most of you think DeepSeek is catching up. If that’s true, the real fight over coding tools stops being about which model is smartest and starts being about which one you’re too lazy to switch away from.
